FOUNDER / MANAGING DIRECTOR
Dan Fussell
Dan is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Keltus. A veteran of operational deployments to Afghanistan between 2010 and 2012, he saw first-hand the importance of preparing people for fear, stress, and uncertainty. This experience led him to pursue adventurous training as a way to build resilience, leadership, and performance. Dan believes experiential challenges are a powerful tool for helping people and organisations reach their full potential.

Alison (Ali) is the Chief Operations Officer of Keltus. After 17 years of full-time Army service, she spent a decade leading expeditions in the Arctic and Antarctic, where she honed skills in risk management and complex operations in extreme environments.

Director Experiential Learning
Josh Wiles
Josh has over 20 years’ experience in outdoor education and team development. Through the Australian Army, he gained instructor qualifications in white water kayaking, rafting, and sea kayaking, alongside a Certificate IV in Outdoor Leadership and Paddle Australia accreditation.

Director Research and Evaluation
Emily Chapman
Emily is a Defence researcher and practitioner with over 13 years’ experience in leadership, organisational learning, and operations analysis. She became involved in adventurous training through the 2023 Spirit Lives Antarctic Expedition, a 1,100 km ski to the South Pole by serving and ex-serving ADF members. Emily brings expertise in measuring resilience and ensures Keltus programs are evidence-based, with learning that transfers into study, work, and life.

Head of Human Performance
Curtis McGrath, OAM
Curtis McGrath OAM served six years as an Australian Army combat engineer before losing both legs to an IED in Afghanistan in 2012. He went on to become a four-time Paralympic gold medallist in sprint canoe and is now a strong advocate for the power of sport to unite communities. Curtis also serves on athlete commissions with Paddle Australia and Paralympics Australia, ensuring athletes’ voices are heard across the sporting landscape.

Head of Adventurous Activities/Lead Facilitator
Aaron Haining
Aaron is the Head of Adventurous Training and Lead Facilitator at Keltus. He served 25 years in the Army, specialising in leadership development, training design, and evaluation. With experience developing leaders. in small teams and at the executive level, Aaron brings deep insight into the practical application of leadership and a passion for helping people become the best version of themselves.
